We are two longtime friends in our mid-thirties who grew up in suburban Houston together. Through the years, we found ourselves frequently sharing money-saving strategies, and decided that collaborating on a blog would be cheaper than long-distance phone calls.
Jo lives in central New Jersey with her husband, a stagehand, and two daughters, Scooter (age 3) and Skeeter (ten months). She makes a mean seven-layer dip and still knows all the words to the theme song from “the Facts of Life.”
Wendy lives in Austin, Texas, spending her days working as a web designer and content manager and her evenings refereeing an ongoing series of ridiculous contests between her six-year-old son and her husband. She likes furry, purry kittens and prog rock.
